- צִחְצֵחַI (v. צחח) 1) to polish, furbish; to clarify, make clear. B. Mets.84a משיְצַחְצְחָן במים arms are considered finished, when the smith has furbished (steeled) them by putting them in cold water. R. Hash. 33a מים … כדי לצַחְצְחוֹ you may pour water or wine into the Shofar to make its sound clear.
